„I’ll spend my summer in Wacken!“ – Some people might wonder why you chose a tiny rural place of 1 840 inhabitants as spot for your vacation in Germany. Easy answer: Only to attend the world’s largest Heavy Metal festival!
From July 29 to August 1 2015 the village will grow into a buzzing town of more than 80 000 metalheads from all over the world.

Being sold out for the 10th time in a row and within 12 hours after last year’s edition wrapped up, this promises to be beyond fantastic! There were plenty of delighted uproars when the first bands were announced at the last day on the festival site in 2014. With highlights like JUDAS PRIEST, BIOHAZARD, IN FLAMES, OPETH, ROB ZOMBIE, WITHIN TEMPTATION and the comeback after a ten-year stage hiatus from SAVATAGE that’s no surprise.

Besides great live shows you can experience almost everything your heavy metal heart desires: The bandwidth reaches from shopping merchandise of all kinds over diverse activities in the Wackinger Village with all it’s raw flair, fire performances, Wasteland Warriors, wrestling and cage fights all the way to band competitions, cinema and swimming pools – just to name a few.

In general W:O:A is a top organized event where you don’t need to worry about any issues – help and a solution for all your needs is always near.

Although the festival is sold out you probably can get tickets from visitors that have to give up their place for that special metal experience.

See you in Wacken, Rain or Shine!
